Greetings, y'all...

I normally don't do conslutting jobs, but I'm helping out a mate on
this one... I'm looking for some pointers on how this gets fed into
the tax system.

If I don't expect to turn over more than a few grand, do I need to
bother with the ABN, GST hoopla? What about other tax reporting
issues?

Given that I do not (at this time) have an accountant, company, or the
liability insurance and assorted baggage that goes with it, should I
in fact just run screaming?
