First, I doubt that's legal: technical measures to circumvent license
agreements are probably on shaky ground at best, and just because you can
circumvent the technical measures, you're still required by Australian
copyright law to obey those irritating shrinkwrap licenses, so...
Second, whether it's legal or not, you probably wouldn't get any
advantages from that over just setting up the Mandrake box as the server
directly. In particular, you should still have any incompatability
problems you might've had with Mandrake as a server, and you'll have
further problems depending on how unusual your configuration might be.

So why not just get rid of the W2K box, and use the Mandrake box for
everything?
