IMO this is a particularly bad idea and I suspect you must be on a broadband
connection to even contemplate it..... and where would you stop?

belial:# ls /usr/src/linux/arch/
alpha  arm  cris  i386  ia64  m68k  mips  mips64  parisc  ppc  s390  s390x
sh  sparc  sparc64

Hmmm, 2.4 kernel has 15 different architectures.  I'm afraid this would
cause some serious package bloat. oh, make that 16 if you want 386 and 586
as well.....
