You won't be able to delete this file - it's not using any disk
space in any event. Here's my system:
$ ls -l /proc/kcore
-r-------- 1 root root 536809472 Dec 19 19:08 /proc/kcore
$ grep Mem: /proc/meminfo
Mem: 528875520 489340928 39534592 0 86839296 272957440
Notice how the total memory and the kcore file are about the same
size? Basically, kcore is the running system, warts and all...
Yours sincerely,
