This might be interesting to a few...
A while back I modified my partition table(s) extensively via
Partition Magic 7.0. The changes I made affected VFat (Windows)
partitions only. Running a system with 2 drives, this changed the
drive letter order in Windows 2000.
My W2K occasionally blue screens without warning, usually
if I try to set the screen resolution to 640x480. Everytime I shutdown
W2K I'm greeted with a blue screen of death. I don't have any trouble
with Win98 though.
As for Linux it works well as always. It seems to be the only reliable
OS with Microsoft OS'es exhibiting unpredictable behaviour in extreme
conditions.
Notes:
I no longer use the Windows Boot Loader at all. LILO works well :)
At least 12 partitions are in use, across Linux, Win98 and W2K.
Several updates for W2K are installed, I'll take a closer look at them
if people want to really know the gory details.
