If you just want to copy file to and fro from floppy disk, just use the [mcopy filename.ext a:] as root user.

mdir a: = dir a:
mtype a:filename = type a:filename
mcopy a:filename destination_folder/newname = copy a: somewhere

But if you havent mounted the XP, you must have done so when you installed Linux coz XP has new fat. Whereas w2k, you can still recognise by the Linux.

mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/c_drive etc
