I might be able to get my hands on a Seagate ST19171WC if you are keen
enough. I have no clue about noise levels so you will need to do your own
investigation as to its suitability for your application.
I'm surprised you can get a 9GB drive as I thought 18GB was the smallest
available now. I bought a ST318275LC (18GB) in December at a cost of $480 to
replace a failed 9GB drive. All the suppliers I spoke to at that time said
that 18GB was the smallest they could source. I've even heard a suggestion
recently that most manufacturers have stopped (or will soon stop) making
anything less than 36GB.
