It's probably best to start by offering your services to people

You also need at least two partners to work with.  Making all
the decisions all on your own is pretty daunting (and really
easy to get seriously wrong) when this is all new to you.

It's not for everyone, but the people who make a go of it mostly
find it pretty rewarding and tend to stick at it.  I quit my
last real job one Monday in 1975 and have never regretted it.
