I'd reconsider this model, its realy at HP's lower end and last I saw
only comes with a 90 day warranty and it looks like current SANE support
is only marginal and requires a bit of frigging around.
If the price is right I'd see if you can get your hands on a 5200C.

I am yet to see one of the cheaper scanners that wasn't trouble.
