Look at the situation in Europe: compared with two normal phone-lines,
you don't pay extra subscription fees *and* and you have a higher
throughput for data-traffic. Makes it an easy choice :-)

Also keep in mind that in Europe there is pay-per-minute rate for
local calls while here you pay only once and that's it.
