Don't know if this is related but I've had my own problems with a Yamaha
CDR400t SCSI CDR:
If I put in a audio or digital recording, it sometimes takes 2 or three
goes to get the thing in - push it in and it comes out again after 30
seconds or so. Eventually it is accepted and I can use it - it then
seems to work fine.
If I put in a blank recordable CD (e.g. to make a backup) the light
flashes for about 30 seconds and then it's ejected. No matter how often
I push it in, it comes on out again.
The problem seems to be getting worse and worse as time goes by.
Sigh! And no - Yamaha never replied to my emails except to refer me to
their Sydney repair depot. Well, of course I never tried them - I'm now
in a deadly embrace of "it's probably cheaper to buy a new one - or
maybe it would be cheaper to get it repaired - only Sydney's a long way
to send something for repair and it'll cost an arm and a leg to get it
fixed - it's probably cheaper to buy a new one"
Best of luck ...
Bob
