[H-GEN] Can't run fort4j_CE in RH 7.1

Since upgrading to RH7.1 I can no longer run forte4j (2nd edition).
I have tried the solutions in Sun's faq concerning this but to no avail.
When I try I get the following:

[pcor at apple bin]$ ./runide.sh &
[1] 1323
[pcor at apple bin]$ /usr/java/jdk1.3/bin/java: /usr/bin/cut: No such file
or directory
/usr/java/jdk1.3/bin/i386/native_threads/java: error while loading
shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot load shared object file: No such
file or directory


Can anyone help me with this?
