Is there any way I can get the sendmail error messages to Postmaster to
be truncated to a particular size? For example, if someone sents a huge
email and it doesn't get sent within the 4 hour queue warning period,
postmaster gets a full copy of the email with a warning message about
the errors.
For example, I get this:
The original message was received at Tue, 19 Jun 2001 09:06:31 +1000
from server2.ussbris [10.10.10.2]
----- The following addresses had transient non-fatal errors -----
<xxx at xxx.com>
----- Transcript of session follows -----
451 4.4.1 timeout writing message to xxx.com
<xxx at xxx.com>... Deferred
Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours
Will keep trying until message is 5 days old
Then the original email is attached underneath.
Is there an option in sendmail to not attach the email, or limit it to
the first x bytes?
Any help appreciated.
Josh.
