..and I thought I didn't get a reply because you were all mean and nasty.

If anyone's interested, I worked the "linear/lba32" thing out and all is
well.  My wife gets her Windows by default and I can stop booting off a
floppy.

Here's my next problem.. sometimes when I perform root tasks, I get a "cannot
connect to server" error.  Does this have something to do with Tripwire or
maybe I've disabled one to many system services.  Can anyone help?
