Hi, folks.

It's been a while since I've done anything with ppp under
linux, but I think my setup is just about right. Up until
recently the main internet connection of the house was my
brother-in-law's windows machine which used the ozemail setup
disks to configure it's self. I'm now trying to setup the
same connection under debian.

Naturally, I chose to do it by hand rather than rely on some
strange connection helper program... :) so since it isn't
quite working, yet, I was wondering if anyone else connected
to ozemail, or anyone else in the general community might
review my settings and compare them with their own.

Here are the relevant sections of the relevant files:

--- begin chatscript (chat seems to work fine, and I'm
connecting to the $25 per month unlimited access account) ---
ABORT BUSY
... snip ...
ABORT "NO DIALTONE"
"" ATDT32301444
ONNECT ""
--- end chatscript ---

--- begin configuration ---
noauth
user <my username for ozemail>
connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -f <chat script>"
defaultroute
/dev/modem
38400
--- end configuration ---

--- begin chap-secrets ---
<my ozemail username> * <my ozemail password>
--- end chap-secrets ---

... I only clicked this morning while reading the debug output
that they were using chap rather than pap authentication, but
I'm still getting authentication failure messages. If the
configuration above looks right then it might simply be a
genuine case of the wrong password :)
