[H-GEN] Problems Dialing in to Bigpond

I am trying to set up my 14.4 modem to dial into my Bigpond BIG150 account to 
test it before I put my 56kb modem on it. I have set it up on debian using 
pppconfig, and then start the connection using pon. It connects fine, but I 
can't reach anything. I can ping the other modem at the other end but nothing 
past that. What am I doing wrong?
