Hmmm. There can be a problem in that some modems need a Windose dll to
download the error correction and compression code, whilst running the
modem in linux causes it to run without. You could ask the tech to
confirm that your calls are using the correct error correction.

Cumulative buggy behaviour, resulting from slightly different
