Hi all,
I have noticed this before and despite attempts to fix it persists.
when I compile a kernel I move the system map that is created in /boot
as System.map-2.2.xx and update lilo to point at it, however I notice
that on running ps I get stuff like:
Warning: /boot/System.map-2.2.15 not parseable as a System.map
Warning: /boot/System.map not parseable as a System.map

I have 2 questions:

        1) How the fsck can I fix this?
        2) How much trouble could this be causing? (bear in mind the
machine runs 24/7 and I haven't had a non user caused fallover in ages)

Thanks for any help/advice/intersting info

Nikolai
