I've set this up for a friend on a Debian Linux box. works like a charm.
I can nab it off his system for you, just have to go around there as he's 
just moved and hasn't got cable at the new place yet

we used our own card, so I'm not sure what Telstra will provide. they're
most likely to use a well know brand, which will be well supported anyway
