I do not think any chipset will give you a problem. Intel FX, HX, TX, VX...any
flavour will be OK, I also rum VIA chipsets successfully, even the PC Chips
chipsets will be OK but you will pay a speed penalty of ... maybe 20%.

Most of the current chipsets I see on new boards (and I reckon for a 400 you
would need a relatively new board) are VIA Apollo (which would be fine) or the
ALI rebadged version of the VIA chipset or PC Chips TX Pro or BX Pro etc.

AS I said all of them will be OK in my experience but the PC Chips sets will be
a bit slower.
