Yes. Simply instruct your proxy to abstain in all votes. People may not be
aware that you can instruct your proxy to vote anyway you want them too,
including to abstain.

Unfortunately members do not seem interested in providing proxies. This
year I only received one proxy vote from a well known 'active' member (who
is there almost every week). The only way we could make this easier is to
accept email proxies -- but the exec has been cautious about this because
we have no way to authenticate the proxies.

I believe this is an understood function of a proxy vote and does not
require constitutional support or a concept of 'disqualification'. (Your
vote is not disqualified, it is simply not exercised.)
