this is realy a question of money.
if you are only wanting this for your personal stuff you might try using
some sort of dynamic domain like no-ip.com or something.
if it is for bussiness purposes then you are going to have to bite the
bullet and "pay per meg". Your options are then ISDN, DDS, HDLS, ATM or
Cable. Each have their different prices/speeds/benefits etc. But if you want
reasonable bandwidth you are looking at a couple of thousand dollars per
month. Give a couple of the top level guys a call to get an idea on
pricing....UUNET, Optus, Telstra, Magna Data (maby sydney only...not sure),
AAPT.
oh...here's a thought....i seem to remember some1 mentioning something about
Asia On-Line (previously Brisbane Internet Tech.) having some sort of radio
network happening but i assume line of sight is needed here.
