<snip some good stuff on TAFE vs Uni>

This is an excellent summation of the importance of both TAFE and Uni. For
my experience, I taught myself to program long before I came to Uni and the
main reason I came to Uni was so that I learnt to code properly and learn
all of the theory in program design, software engineering etc. I think that
my time and money is very much paying off. With the experience of Uni I
have become a fairly formidable code monkey, but I also have a great deal of
knowledge as to how to design software and manage projects.

The main thing to remember is that whatever you do, don't be happy with just
doing what you have to. Look to extend yourself at every opportunity and
you will be much better for it. Put in the hard work now and it will pay
off many times over in the future.
