I find it a bit strange that no-one in the linux supporters seems to think of
the GIMP. I think it is one of the very best of the free software programmes
available and it does some quite remarkable things.

I agree you would need a much bigger image to put on a T-Shirt. I have not
tried it but  just maybe the image might be able to be resized and , with
antialiasing and a lot of praying to the god Richard Stallman, it might be good
enough for that size. Alternatively if you print it out and rescan at a much
higher resolution it might work. The current image is only a couple of inches
square and taking that up to say a foot  it might fall apart.
