[H-GEN] /sbin/install & /sbin/loader

When attempting to install RedHat 6.1, it is erroring out.
I see the message 'Loading /sbin/install', then 'Loading /sbin/loader'.

I then get a message that says something to the effect that the install has
failed with error code 7.
Now, I've searched the web, but can find nothing, so I have turned to the
source.  Unfortunately, I haven't done a whole lot of C, and I get stuck
tracing this at the error message....  (pretty bad, huh?)  

I don't have the code in front of me right now, but from memory....  The
error message can be found in loader.c.  The error code is found through a
function, passing the parameter of statusWait.  Search for 'error code', or
simply 'error'.

If anyone does have the time to find out what error code 7 means, could you
please provide a description of what you did to come up with the answer?  I
would prefer not to post whenever I have to refer to the source.
