Check with your Banshee manual, it may support VESA 2.0 BIOS calls, which 
means you can have a frame buffer console under 2.2.x[1]. Then you can 
use the Frame Buffer X server without a problem. You can even have 8
video cards in your system at once and do this.[2]

Do a search for Linux and USB. I believe there is a project with kernel
patches to get USB working. I've got this nagging feeling that there
is USB support in the 2.2.x kernels.

eating a chocolate Billabong icecream, and not dropping any onto your tie
isn't that easy. Given that I wanted to enjoy the icecream :)
