I just fired up one of my Sun IPCs that has been sitting on the floor for a
while and it has this problem. Someone pointed me at a REALLY handy page (
http://www.squirrel.com/squirrel/sun-nvram-hostid.faq.html )that tells you
how to reprogram it so there is no need to pay Sun Ripened Kernels $50
(+postage) chip.
I also ust looked up Farnell's site, they want $41.22 for one !!! Oh well,
will have to see if I can cadge one from somewhere
Regards
