The following is useful information.  Keeping a copy of this is considered
to be a good idea(tm).

To post to general at humbug.org.au, your posting address needs to be on:

        The list 'general'
                or
        The list 'general-post'

To post to chat at humbug.org.au, your posting address needs to be on:

        The list 'chat'
                or
        The list 'chat-post'

Otherwise, your message will be silently bounced and filed in temporary
circular storage.

All four of the above-mentioned lists are handled by the address
'majordomo at humbug.org.au' with standard majordomo functionality, which
amounts to:

        To subscribe, send an email to the list handler with:

                subscribe listname
                end

        in the body of the message.  A confirmation message will be sent
	to you, or to the optional address after the listname.

        To unsubscribe, send an email to the list handler with:

                unsubscribe listname
                end

        in the body of the message.

Majordomo is a fairly rigid, but polite individual, and will politely
ignore any of your opening remarks, (ie, the subject line), but will send
you a howto guide if you try to tell it where to go in the wrong manner.
