[ Humbug *General* list - semi-serious discussions about Humbug and ]
[ Unix-related topics. Please observe the list's charter. ]
Hi Michael,
I have looked thru the MS Knowledgebase (and lived) and they say that this
is a messy proceedure too. NetMeeting 3.01 definately does use the H.323
protocol, and this protocol seems to open dynamic ports that are limited to
ALL unpriviledged ports - this sux.
I have tried running a program called PhonePatch on the Linux box, but I
cannot connect to port 1084 on this box (PhonePatch admin port), so I cannot
therefore configure this software. My ipchains config has all ports open
from internal to universe, so I dunno why I cannot admin this software.
I have found an ip_masq_h3231 module (in source format) that I cannot
compile (I do not seem to have net/tcp.h, net/protocol.h nor net/ip_masq.h
(or so it reports, and I can confirm this!!!). If anyone more knowledgable
than I (and that leaves it WIDE open) can tell me where to find the
necessary includes), then I'll try to compile this source to an object file
and see if I can get this happening.
I've tried the config listed in the URL below, with the same results - audio
goes out, doesn't come in. I cannot receive video either. :-(
Regards,
Hilton Travis
