I am using an ASUS V3800/Ultra TNT2 based card. XFree 3.3.4 and later
have TNT drivers from the chipset manufacturer. While I don't have
comparitive data with other cards/drivers, I certainly haven't found any
reason to complain about the reliability or performance of either the card
of the drivers. The only thing that is missing is support for the TV-In
features of the card (but I hardly ever use that anyway).
If you want some more info on the cards, Tom's Hardware
(http://www.tomshardware.com/) is usually a good place to look. Info on
linux drivers is more likely to be found at http://www.xfree.org/
(mirrored at http://xfree86.mirror.aarnet.edu.au/).
