I've already looked. It's a Compac Contura 3/20, and considering how
well it already works in only 2M, the cost of an upgrade isn't really
justifiable. (I could get a 586 laptop for about the price it'd take
to boost this thing to 4M.)

Currently gcc does work-- modulo a 50-line program taking about 2
minutes to build. With VM performace being non-linear, if I could
just tweak out another ~60kB I could probably halve that. (This closer
I get to the gcc RSS..)
