Not our experience, after dealing with literally hundreds of the things.
Part of the problem, of course, is that there's no such thing as a "KTX"
modem - it's your basic Taiwanese Mystery Modem with a KTX sticker
whacked on in Melbourne or somesuch. Each individual modem has to be
interrogated to find out what chipset it's using, the firmware revision
and so on, which makes supporting the buggers tedious.
There's also quality control problems with power supplies and especially
line transformers.
