I assume that you mean to run the first command first, then the second.

OK .... I ran "ifconfig eth0 203.3.126.130" ..... which is the new LAN
gateway IP address

then ...... "route add -net 203.3.126.133" .... which is the first of
the LAN boxes 

that gives a message .... "SIOCADDRT: Invalid argument" ..... which
sounds like an eth0 or NIC problem ..... can still ping LAN though so
something is amiss that I don't understand
