Conor, tho', is also pulling one of the HDD's out for Linux and that was
the info I was trying to get, I would tend to leave the Win HDD in and
possibly not mount it or mount it read only and boot Linux off a floppy
which should leave the Win box protected and in its virginal, pristine
condition (is virginal, pristine a redundancy?). Craig Eldershaw asked
the same question but got no response.

I also wonder whether the ACER CD is fully ATAPI compliant. I have heard
rumours of other ppl having some probs with ACER CD's but I do not know
if this is really true.
