The way around it is as soon as you buy the laptop... format the
harddrive without booting windows.  then you can take your cd win cd
back and ask for a refund.  The licence agreement says that if you are
not happy with the licence, you can return the cd for a refund.  to not
accept the licence though, you can't ever boot windows on that machine. 
even the first time you boot it.
