OK, here's a question for all the gurus out there. I am thinking about
implementing a particular configuration and want to know if I will be
beating my head against a rather solid feeling brick wall.

Here is what I want to achieve.

1. A LAN using an NT server to provide user authentication services,
running NT or 95 clients.
2. A Linux gateway/proxy/firewall
3. SMTP server running on the Linux box, providing POP3 and/or IMAP
support.
4. The POP3 server must use NT user accounts. This is because I really
don't want to admin 2 sets of user accounts.

The problem is with the user accounts bit. Is there any solution to this?
I did a bit of research on the web and found a rather depressing article
here .... http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue24/lg_answer24.html (last topic
on the page)
