[H-GEN] netatalk configuration for RedHat Linux

Dear List,

Thanks to all those that responded to my last requests, your advice has
been very helpful.

I have another one for you:

I have been following a how-to for installing netatalk (how-to at
thehamptons.com/anders/netatalk), and I'm running kernel 2.1.117 under RH
Linux, release 5.1.  

I installed 

netatalk-1.4b2+asun2.1.0-5.rpm 

and there was no problems with that.  Also, I was able to start the server
from the pre-supplied script under /etc/rc.d/init.d/atalk

and all the necessary files, as I found, installed automatically with the 
rpm (e.g., /etc/services was updated, /etc/atalk directory and config
files were created, /etc/rc.d/init.d/atalk.init put in place).

However, I cannot find anywhere where I can name the dest. dir.  Does this
mean I need to compile from source?  I wouldn't think so, as I'd expect
such a great service as rpm to enable me to avoid that.  Also, does an
srpm exist, or would I have to grab a ordinary distribution source.

Anyways, I thought one of you might know a bit about configuring this
installation.  After starting the server, the appropriate line was added
to /etc/atalk/atalkd.conf, though, as I expected, I could not see any
volume on my networked Mac.  Where can set the dest. dir path?  I have a
heap of Mac files on a filesystem that I'd like to access--has /etc/atalk
been set up as a default path, and if so, can I symlink or something over
to where my MacArea is?
