[H-GEN] comsat/biff question (fwd)

It looks as if comsat/biff are rpm'ed in the same package. I got biff to
work by a message showing up when I press Enter, and /var/spool/mail/$USER
has changed.
What I would really like is if I can get mail notification that pops up on
the screen, rather than when I press the enter key.
any ideas are appreciated.
