[H-GEN] Sparc Stations

Well, to those interested, the ones that Paul got (2 of which were for me)
will NOT boot. It seems that the disks have been trashed, which is not
that surprising.

I could not get fdisk to run on them. Eventually called in the big guns
(one D. Makepeace) who suggested that maybe the machines had been turned
off half way through a low level disk format. Paul is going to try a low
level format from his PC ( we only have SCSI on our server at work and it
was still busy about midnight).

Seems to me like they should make reasonable gateway machines.

Re driving the monitors from a PC, looks to me like that circuit could
easily be done with a single chippie.....using a quad XOR package .

NOT ( VS XOR HS ) = (( VS XOR HS ) XOR TRUE )

Or am I mistaken? Use a 74HC series if speed/drive capability is an issue,
which I don't think it would be. Does anyone know of a source for the 13W3
connectors, preferably PCB mount ?

I'm tired and my arms hurt from carrying these damn things around !!!

Regards
Michael (who's wife didn't log out again) Anthon
