Hmm. I'm trying to install RedHat 4.2 on ningaui, without
success. When booting from the installation diskettes (or the
cdrom image for that matter) I get the following message :
Image starts, I press enter, initrd loads, vmlinuz loads, then ...
... ( scrolls past too quickly)

The system is now completely hung, requiring a hard reset
(or power cycle, on this aptiva).
Is this a Hideous Kernel Bug (As I suspect) or some funky
memory (As the RedHat support people suggest)? RedHat 4.1
installs OK, so I suppose I could just do that and upgrade,
but I'm concerned about possible problems with unusual
aptiva hardware problems that I'd rather sort out now than
later. And no, the Aptiva can't mysteriously have an "accident".
