[H-SASIG] Trac and LDAP

Hi all,

I've finally gotten some time to play with Trac and LDAP after sorting
out my home computer, and its surprisingly easy to do LDAP
authentication.  Sorting the trac permissions inside LDAP is a little
more complex, and I'm not sure its needed for our small install.

I could just translate the user accounts from flat file passwords to
LDAP, but I'm not sure what it'll buy us other than complexity just
for Trac.  What other locations are we thinking of using LDAP as an
authentication source for?  Also, how are we planning to populate the
LDAP directory?
