Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the actual actions
described above, one things that was definitely wrong was the
failure to send the above information to the sysadmins at the
time it was done.
We have a group of administrators, none of whom know everything
all the time, and we *must* follow basic collaborative processes
which means we tell everybody when we make any significant
changes. It's really time for everybody to get this and to act
on it.

I don't know if that's true or not, but I do know that not
everybody who needed to be told was told. That's not good
enough.
