[H-SASIG] Status of Sysadmin Tasks

Hello

In response to Raymond's ideas from the wiki, I agree that a regular
report on what the sysadmins are up to would help keep everyone informed
with what was happening. It would also help us figure out if we
forgotten anything while we were at it.

Before each meeting I can send an email like this one to let everyone
know
what's been happening. With regards to new tickets or requests, I can
work to have an initial response within 48 hours, and the response
should
include an estimate of how long any resulting tasks should take. If I'm
unable to do this personally, I'll make sure somebody else on the list
is
able to. I'll welcome any comments or suggestions people have to, of
course...

In the past week:

     * Filesystem permissions on the trac 'attachments' directory didn't
allow apache to write, therefore we couldn't upload any files and link
them to tickets -- we should be able to now.

     * postmaster/hostmaster emails went to xxxx at caliburn.humbug.org.au
--
changed this to xxxx at excalibur.humbug.org.au. This will still store the
mail locally though (this appears to be the way it was previously set
up),
if anyone has a preferred location for this mail to end up, or a
suggestion, reply to the list...

I know centralised authentication is being looked in to at the moment --
the only other issue I know people want to be discussed is the
membership
database. We should go through the requirements at a meeting so we're
able to break up what needs to be done into more concrete tasks..
