[H-SASIG] Changes to Excalibur's backup system

I have done a new version of the programs I wrote to backup excaliur.
They have been simplified, they have been packaged (.deb and .rpm
available), they have been documented, and I have added an entry on
http://www.humbug.org.au/SysAdmin describing how excalibur uses them.

Hopefully all this means you lot can actually use them without me
peeking over your shoulder, giving instructions, and assuring you how
simple it all really is.

Can you please try them out.  Anybody can do this - you don't have to be
a sysadmin.  It is important you do this just from the information given
on http://www.humbug.org.au/SysAdmin and the pointers therein.  If you
can't do it using just that then I have stuffed it up.
