[Lcabid] Conference themes

Hi all

I have been out of action for the last week and a bit (no email or even
Internet), however during that time I have been putting quite a bit of
thought into the LCA bid process and looking at documents that I have
printed from previous LCA conferences/bids.  I am proposing that perhaps
having a theme based approach to the conference as well as the location
based approach that has been used for every other conference (Brisbane has a
lot to offer)  might be a way of doing things a little different (and
perhaps leading the way for future LCA conferences).  Having a theme would
by no means restrict talks in any way, however would give people an idea of
what to submit to the conference when the call for papers starts.  It would
need to be a catchy theme and could also be used to guide logo¹s, graphics,
advertising and al those sorts of things.

What do you all think about this approach.  Do you have some ideas for
themes?  Please forward any comments or suggestions to the list and lets
discuss this a little further.
