Hello everyone, the AGM is nearly upon us. The most important thing to note
is that this weekends meeting is *not* at UQ, but at The Edge, State
Library of Queensland. The meeting will go from midday to eight pm, with
the AGM at five pm.

Public transport to the site is good (cultural centre bus stop, south
brisbane train station). There is parking on site ($16 for the day, I
think) and you may be able to find free parking closer to Montague road.

As yet we have *no* nominations for executive positions, please think about
the future of the club and what you may be able to do for it.

We also have no proxies as yet. If the change in venue is going to cause an
issue, please put your proxy in early. A template to use is available at
http://lists.humbug.org.au/pipermail/announce/2017-September/000783.html

If you use meetup.com, please RSVP there, that will make the attendance
list easier for moi to compile.

The first order of business is to accept last years AGM minutes, these can
be found at http://humbug.org.au/AGM2016

I encourage people to bring cool projects along (electric mower (sans
cutting blade), electronics, conference bids, talks), as we're in a public
setting, we may event attract a member or two. I do have a collection of
videos for the meeting, but I think I'll be choosing those that don't
require sound (e.g. awesome glass working videos)

There is a cafe inside The Edge, bring your own mug for a discount. The
Edge cafe does have snacks, but for more substantial food you'll have a
short walk to the two other cafes about 100m away. Instead of leaving for
dinner at six, it might make more sense to go for dinner at eight, after
the meeting?

If there are any other questions about the venue, please forward them
through, it's my second home.

Now, lets hear some nominations!
