Hi all

We're doing a special online trial of our MariaDB 10.0 Upgrade &
Features training module, just for a select few people in Brisbane.

Using our new online environment, this class will be live and fully
interactive, with exercises - just like we do with real life training.
We've split the module into two chunks, taught by Open Query engineer
and trainer Peter Lock on Mon 16 Mar + Tue 17 Mar, 9am to 12:30.

Requirements - you'll need
  - a Windows, OSX or Linux laptop or desktop with
  - either Firefox or Chrome (Chrome is recommended for Linux)
  - with recent Flash plugin.
  - We use our own Australian infrastructure (to minimise latency), but
you can try out the tech at http://demo.bigbluebutton.org/
  - You'll want to have a headset with microphone;
  - webcam optional.
  - SSH client.

Also, a quiet spot as you don't want to be disturbed by colleagues or
phonecalls. Naturally, you also don't want to be reading email or other
interruptive media at the same time.

Price & Signup

We keep our online classes even smaller so we'll allow a maximum of 6
people. The special pricing for this module is $95 + GST per person
(that's about half of what the regular online pricing of this module
will be).

To spread this trial across different more client tech and backgrounds,
please only one signup per company.

You can use the regular OQ training contact form to sign up:
   http://openquery.com.au/training/contact
(select the MariaDB 10.0 module + location Online)
You can of course also use this form if you have any other questions.

Signups will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Note that a
signup is only completed when full payment has been received.

Thanks!

MySQL 10.0 contains a broad range of new advanced features,
incorporating items from stock MySQL 5.6, and XtraDB (enhanced InnoDB),
as well as many of its own.

This course module is useful for developers and organisations who are
preparing for an upgrade of their existing applications to MariaDB 10.0,
or wanting to develop for MariaDB 10.0 and need to get up to date with
its new features as well as changes from previous versions. As MariaDB
10.0 is a superset of MySQL 5.5 and 5.6, the course also covers these
versions.

Open Query has extensive real world experience with MariaDB 10.0 and its
features through successful client deployments.

Regards,
Arjen.
