we are building using
lots of fun open source technologies and our target platform is linux
ubuntu running on
AWS. Its all early days stuff -- so lots of room to experiment and try

About Us

Hypermancer helps users make sense of unstructured information -- we answer
the query you should have asked, any time you ask it.

We are a small, nimble team building an innovative product that is used for
the real time monitoring and search of unstructured and semi-structured
textual data. From the Twitter firehose to news articles and blog posts,
we give users a clear understanding of the contexts and implications
surrounding any selected data fragment, concept, time period, or entity,
and this understanding is always generated in real­ time from up to
date information.

We have just closed a round of funding from a European venture capital
firm and are moving quickly to bring our product to the market.


The Opportunity

Hypermancer seeks a Senior Web Application Developer to build out our
AngularJS single-page HTML5 web application built against the Hypermancer
REST services.

This is a unique opportunity to use your skills to drive the development
of a modern web application with a responsive interface targeted at modern
browsers on desktop and mobile. This is a critical role within our small
focussed team as this application will be the showcase for our patent
pending technologies.


We have a flexible working environment and are based at the iLab Accelerator
at Indooroopilly, BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA.


Requirements

You should have demonstrable skill and multi-year experience in the
following areas:
* Development of single-page web applications using HTML5, CSS, and Javascript
* Writing AJAX clients against a RESTful server API
* Demonstrate experience working with Angular JS or can demonstrate ability
to learn and work with AngularJS
* Good development practice: UI Design, testing, version control, design
documentation
* Right to work in Australia (Citizen/Permanent Resident)
* Excellent English


We love to code and we hope you do too. We will look favourably on a
candidate with a wide-range of technology interests. For example:
* Coffeescript, Clojurescript, JQuery
* Web Graphics: Raphaël, d3, three.js, canvas, SVG
* Web Application: jQueryMobile, Phone Gap
* Server Side Technologies
* Experience in a startup environment
* Open Source Contributions -- samples of previous work and any available
   code on github/bitbucket or other projects are a plus.
* DevOps: AWS, Ansible
