I found, this site,

usefull when I was setting up my ADSL, I think it is
fixed in the kernel you have, but at one stage there
was problems for windows machines as I remember you have
to play around with the registry to change the MTU or
get the gateway (your freebsd box) to do some sort of
funkyness to outgoing packets.
