This is a very well made point which I agree with whole heartedly.
Monocultures are very fragile. We are much better off when essential
infrastructure is incarnated by many implementations of good quality. So I
am pleased to hear that djbdns implements zone transfers in much the same
way as I was pleased to hear that MySQL now supports transactions.
